Hunger and Hardship in RCT: Why we need an Essentials Guarantee

Taff-Ely Foodbank has been campaigning locally for an Essentials Guarantee, a campaign by Trussell and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation to ensure our social security system covers the essentials. Currently, 7 in 10 people nationwide on Universal Credit are forced to turn to foodbanks because their payments do not cover the essentials.
