On Monday, 30th March, 2026, Taff-Ely Foodbank held its Annual General Meeting in the Ivor Arms, Brynsadler. It was a great opportunity to bring together our staff, volunteers, trustees, and supporters to reflect on the busy yet exciting year that we have had, and look ahead to our upcoming plans and projects.
Following reports from the Chair and Treasurer (and an excellent buffet provided by the Ivor Arms), which highlighted the valuable work of the foodbank's Board of Trustees, attendees heard from members of staff about their work and successes in making the foodbank what it has become.
2025/26 has been our busiest year ever - not only did we provide over 3,600 food parcels (over 32,000 meals), but we also launched networks, revamped our fundraising initiative, built relationships with people with lived experience, and streamlined our internal processes to ensure our foodbank is the best it can be for local people facing crisis.
It was also a chance for celebration, as the foodbank said goodbye to one of our trustees, Hannah Furnish, and welcomed a new trustee, Jane Evans. The foodbank thanks Hannah for her time and effort, and her contribution to making our foodbank what it has become.
In looking ahead, our CEO shared with attendees our plans for operational changes that we will be piloting in the coming months, which will seek to tackle stigma and empower those facing hunger and hardship who turn to us for support.
We were immensely grateful for all who attended, including our amazing volunteers (whose time and passion are the backbone of our work), our trustees (whose diligence and commitment have ensured the governance of the foodbank has remained smooth and effective), and our lived experience partners who have informed our decision-making going into the new financial year.
Please see below a copy of our annual report. We are grateful to NPC Printing, Taff's Well, for providing the printed copies of the report free of charge. Their support (and the support of all of our corporate partners) is vital to our work and massively appreciated. You can download a .pdf version of the report by clicking here:
